Six books published--med tech, running a small business, surviving cancer, novels, whatever life throws at me. My latest book is the thriller, "A Mug's Game." I learned stock investing at nineteen, when the economics professor I worked for went on a binge, leaving me with indecipherable notes for his thirty-page stock newsletter.
Hmmm...what can I add? Kauai is home, but please don't visit, move here. We need more solid, hard-working folk in paradise. I've owned a software company (Compudontics), given post-doctoral programs for the American Dental Association and Canadian College of Dental Surgeons, consulted with Baylor University Med School, worn a lot of pantyhose...glad those days are over.
I spend time traveling to third world countries and giving back these days. I believe in the paradox you can't keep your wealth unless you give it back. In a sense, being charitable is actually selfish, but a spiritually healthy kind of selfishness. Believe it or not, that actually improves your investing!
