Well, neither does my cousin--she adds some sauerkraut to the cabbage in the cabbage filling, not the other way around.

I used a mixture of 1/2 Planter's Deluxe Mixed Nuts + 1/2 dry-roasted peanuts (since there were no peanuts in the planter's mix) and that did contain pecans (and filberts I think).

I'm sure almond butter would work too.
