D1-A/FBS record for most yards in a shutout?

I just painfully saw my alma mater, San Jose State, utterly crap the bed on Senior Day at home against a 2-8 Hawaii team. That they lost was bad enough, but they were shut out, 13-0.

But here's the thing. They outgained Hawaii 462-240. [more]

Bochy has been a great October manager, but....

...but why did he put Strickland on the WS roster after he was a human launching pad in the Washington series? And why use him in a situation like this where a long ball pretty much means "game over"?
