Re: OK, time to start getting back into BRK

I would still expect MKL to outperform BRK over a 10-yr period starting today.

MKL is much smaller than BRK. It has many more opportunities to invest.

This is what Watsa says in his latest AR report --- I am always amazed at the speculation that can take place in the stock market, as shown in the table below, and how long it can last: Market Cap. P/E Ratio Price to Sales ($ billions) [more]

Re: 1.2

No, we're talking about the same effect. No big adjustment is needed because fair P/B is not rising quickly. My interpretation is that BV is no longer tracking intrinsic value. BV is understating the intrinsic value growth (fake numbers [more]

1.2

Shouldn't the 1.2 P/BV recommendation tack on ~0.1 decimal each quarter.
Buffett mentions in the AR that the BV to intrinsic value continues to widen.

Most folks have not idea what BRK's intrinsic value is - so 1.2 P/BV is what folks [more]

But it is relevant. This is the exact same story for Walmart since 10 years ago. Comparative returns for 10 years are 1350% vs 90%. If at all Amazon has added even more distance between itself and other [more]

Has anyone tried day trading BRK ? I am thinking of doing this. We all know that given BRK size, it is not going to be a fast grower.

What makes BRK unique is the fact that underlying risk of losing your principal is very low - so the worst [more]
