A drone with a hand grenade mounted on it may be more practical.

Small drones with limited lift are less than ideal for this application. This not a replacement for Predator.

Drone Killer Needed

I've mentioned often that the threat of stupid drone drivers to commercial aircraft is a growing and serious problem, imagine if the drone driver wasn't stupid but intentionally targeting commercial airplanes that were taking off over say a city? [more]

Would 90% die? Probably not... but it is a possible result. Given our armaments I'd expect quite a few shooting deaths before the ammunition runs out. Hell, we do that even without a catastrophe as an excuse.
