Re: Windows 7 install failing

Since no one else has chimed in with knowledgeable advice, I'll toss my random ideas about.

My first inclination would be to cut peripherals down to the bare bones. I'd eliminate all USB devices except keyboard and mouse. I'd remove any add [more]

Re: IRA Real Estate

I read somewhere that an LLC can be formed and then “stock” sold to the IRA.

If you read that, consider it an unreliable source of info. You can't do that.

Transactions between you and your IRA are generally prohibited, [more]

I don't disagree, but wouldn't you [more]

Re: That wacky Schwab

I wouldn't be too quick to blame Schwab. It was probably the particular investment that changed the info they reported to Schwab, requiring Schwab to pass that changed info on to you.

Re: Windows 7 install failing

The product key is not tied to the disk. But you may need a disk from the same version of the software. So if you're trying to install Win 7 Home, I don't think a Win 7 Professional disk will work with your product key.

At what point is the [more]

Yeah the video is on FB and wouldn't load for me.

Let's try it on YT, then. Hopefully this one will work:

Re: Paint Color Choice Mistakes

You're not alone.

If the room feels dark, you can try painting one wall a much lighter shade of the color you used. Going to a white ceiling can also help.

A quick and cheap thing to try is a switch in the lighting. Try a brighter [more]

Re: How many different positions do you have?

8 positions, plus cash.

Cash is the largest, at 1/3. Partly because I don't see any screaming bargains at the moment, but mostly because I may decide to invest that cash in the next few months expanding my business.

Gregory upate

Our little abandoned kitten, Gregory, is now about a month old. In the last few days it seems like he's quickly changed from an almost completely dependent infant to a young cat.

On Sunday, we tried mixing a little canned kitten food with [more]

Re: Fuse for AC?

From my reading of your owner's manual, it looks to be fuse #22.

Is your compass working? It shares a fuse with the A/C, so if the compass is working, it's likely not a fuse problem.

What would be the most effective way (without breaking the bank) of improving things so I can get higher speeds at that location?

The cheapest way would be to run a wire to that location and connect with ethernet. A wire running [more]

Because my mortgage requires me to have it.

Re: Painted popcorn ceiling

If you give it a light scraping, that will break the paint film and let you spray some water on it to make it easier to get the rest of the popcorn off.

Before starting this, you might want to get it tested for asbestos. It's not unusual for [more]
