The world-wide standard for income taxes is that a person should pay taxes in the country he resides in (and uses the services of) rather than the country whose passport he holds.

The only comment I have is to be very careful around the heating elements. In particular, don't touch them. The oils and dirt on your hands can create a local hot spot as they burn off and can shorten the life of the element.

there was an extra line for some reason between 1976 and 1977.

That was a "one quarter" short fiscal year when the US government switched from a June 30 year end to the current Sept 30 year end.
