It looks like Berkshire didn't report its increased stake in USG in a timely manner. http://finance.yahoo.com/news/berkshire-pay-u-civil-fine-153...

Re: Poll: BRKA at 200k-Buy, sell, or hold

I am lightening up on a few LEAPs as the price reaches 1.4 x book which is the upper end of the recent trading range. I am also entering GTC buy orders for the same at the equivalent of 1.3 x book. I am still holding on to the bulk of my position [more]

CBI

It is down nearly 9% after beating earnings in Q2 due to renewed
accusations of accounting impropriety by Precision Point. What is most
interesting about it is that Berkshire owns 8.8% of it.

Re: IBM earnings out

I have somewhat more confidence in IBM's buybacks since Warren Buffett seems impressed with them on that front. The situation is also a little bit different than 2007 as interest rates are much lower but I agree that companies generally don't take [more]

While I hate to indulge in thread necromancy, it seems reasonable to go back to the QCOR stock itself as it nears the triple digit level with the SEC approving the proxy for its merger with MNK which is being strongly backed by Paulson. While I am [more]
