My Story

Elise is a mathematically-oriented research scientist and recovering university administrator. She enjoys investing as a challenge and as a puzzle. Her heart belongs in the tropical Pacific but her cold feet are in a northern city.

How I Invest

I look for companies that have strong balance sheets but appear, to my unprofessional eye, to be undervalued. I am particularly interested in companies that are associated with the ocean, education, and with nifty artificial intelligence. Mostly I read, see what catches my eye and then try out a hypothesis or two.
