Re: Thunderbird sends to trash

Thunderbird itself has built-in junk/spam detection, and a whole bunch of encrypted gobbledygook looks like spam to me. Why not try using something like Enigmail instead of a third-party app?

Re: Say goodbye to CFL's

Speaking of vastly superior, I still have never had even one LED bulb fail. The oldest ones have been installed just over 3 years now (including one that's been on outdoors all night every night that whole time, using a photocell). The CFL's I [more]

I can't use magnetic catches because they would distort the TV picture, possibly permanently.

What sort of TV did you purchase? Distortion caused by magnets was a problem for CRT technology, yes, but LCDs don't care (I just pressed a [more]

Re: Windows 10 upgrade from Vista?

7 is much better than Vista, Vista due to the way they implement video drivers users much more RAM for pretty much anything over Windows 7.

I've never had a problem with that, and the machine only has 4GB. My scanner still works [more]

Re: Windows 10 upgrade from Vista?

Don't do it. Vista is not the horrid OS people make it out to be (and I say this as a current and staying user), and I can't think of a single reason why a Vista-class machine should not be able to play current games. There's also the question of [more]

It's been handed off to a collection agency, so Mediacom no longer has any reason to deal with you. However, you should get copies of your credit reports, and if you see they have you listed as charged off, delinquent, or anything else negative, [more]

Methinks if ever there was a real case of MAD (Mutually Assured Destruction) these two going to war would be a perfect example. Neither could methinks win particularly considering the power of their mentors who would not want them doing so (that [more]

We Americans tend to think WWII started on December seventh, 1941 but the Brits had been fighting the Germans for years before that.

And the Japanese were in mainland Asia before Hitler came to power.
