Scratching/Chewing in garage door header?

Trying to figure this one out, because I figure it can't be good... the past couple nights, I've heard what sounds like something chewing on wood, coming from within the header above the garage door. I've looked all around it, and [more]

That's impressive news. Would you share what industry this is?

Managed IT services, cloud hosting, traditional co-location, and off-site backup/disaster recovery. Basically, companies come to us when they outgrow their existing [more]

Re: I'm getting nervous

I can't argue any of the points you've made, only that from where my company sits, we're having an exceptionally bang-out year. Half of our traditional (3+ years with the company) sales execs met their annual quota before the first [more]

Re: 407,000 Teamsters lose pensions...

Thing is, if you applied SS taxes to Jamie Dimon's $25M/yr, you would have to pay him a proportionally larger SS benefit. The moment you start applying a means test to SS benefits, so that Dimon is not collecting millions in SS benefits each year, [more]

Re: OT ACARS shows MS804 on fire before it crash

ACARS is a rather archaic system originally intended for radio and adapted for SAT that was more interested in the equipment health of mechanical systems. I'm pretty sure it doesn't even send position information though with a lot a math is can be [more]

Re: XP to Win8.1 permission problems

Careful, my old Dell 4500 power supply was a proprietary design and a standard ATX wouldn't work.
Gateway also used to pull that crap. Fortunately, both companies (at least the models I dealt with) were smart enough to key the connectors [more]

Re: XP to Win8.1 permission problems

Go to your local Microcenter/Frys/ComputerWhateverSuperStore and buy another ATX power supply. Being a 14 year old computer, a 500W supply should be plenty, and shouldn't cost much more than $20-$30.

Re: Airport Security Wait

If you think the TSA is understaffed, wait until security is reprivatized and the rent-a-cop company is working under a fixed price contract.

It'd be nice to see how service compares at "rent-a-cop" (as you say) airports [more]
