Re: TRNO Preferred

Bill

It does not.
Since AREEP is convertible I do not have to be concerned that it will be called if the low interest rate environment persists. I have added a little AREEP when it trades around 27. It remains my largest REIT preferred [more]

TRNO Preferred

Sold all my shares today at 27.00 since yield to call in 3 years was well under 6% with a current dividend rate of 7.19%.
I will use this money to buy STAG B with a current yield of 6.76% and if called in 4 years a year to call of about [more]

Re: Anyone interested in CBL?

Why do you not buy GPT-B with your proceeds from the sale of GPT-A.
This issue is not callable until 2019 and is trading a little under par with a yield of a little better than 7.15%.
With Ralph not expecting to make more than 7-8% total [more]

Re: Anyone interested in CBL?

I own the preferred but not the common.
On the positive side there is
high insider ownership
Fidelity owns a big chunk of it in several funds
Low AFFO payout ratio with dividend of 5.1%

On the negative side
Relatively [more]

Re: Annual Asset class return

Since around 2000 REITs have been discovered and yields have dropped drastically. If the current scenario of low interest rates our REITs should continue to outperform in the future. However one has to be very wary of tjberko's warning of rising [more]

NRF Preferred E

Well I broke my vow about never buying another mortgage REIT. In the past I ignored all posts on NRF. Then Ralph's recent message on NRF caught my attention. Then I saw a note on the Investor Village MLP board that NRF had sold off its asset [more]

News

It is sad to see our board atrophy.

Xot is not posting here but on Silicon Investor's income board.

From that board I learned today that the FUR preferred will be called mid Sept at a price of 25.48. Hence I was able to sell my [more]

Re: Pick One Exercise

In the part six months I have been adding small amounts to my positions in both LNCO and ETP. I already have large positions in EEQ and KMR otherwise I would be adding to them.

Pick One Exercise

It is time for our pick one exercise.

Each of us is to suggest a REIT, REIT preferred or any other entity with a dividend that they are currently buying. This is not a contest but an effort to share at the current time what each of us thinks [more]

Re: CORR - Anybody?

I have held a small position for a couple of months and plan to hold for the long term with the high dividend being paid. I have certainly been tempted to buy more but there are too many uncertainties here for me to be greedy.

Re: I think I've got it!

Before putting money into low yield prior high growth REITs just remember that VNQ is trading close to its all time high and the low yield REITs which are so in favor now could easily have a 20% price correction or much worse. It is fine if one is [more]
