Re: Block credit inquiries?

Re: Block credit inquiries?

Thank you for the link, AJ. I think I'll just call that particular company and tell them to knock it off, or maybe send them a "cease and desist" letter.

Block credit inquiries?

Is there a way to block companies from checking your credit without your permission? A company that appears to be a payday loan place did a check in July. It doesn't look like it affected my score. For me, it's probably the principle of it more than [more]

Progress

After years of working on my house, I feel like I am FINALLY making permanent progress.

My living room is pretty well cleared out. The only furniture is stuff around the walls -- bookcases, a couple tables, a baker's rack. I've sold a bunch [more]

Don't worry too much - find an eye doctor you can talk to and
feel comfortable working with. There are always risks involved in
living and you only invite other risks when you try to avoid
any particular one.

Heat can kill, no matter how well a person thinks they can handle it. From what I understand, there are folks up north who don't even have AC.

I live in St Louis which gets very hot and muggy in the summer. Temps in the 90s are standard.

I haven't used my AC much for about the last five years. What prompted the discontinuation was a bill from the utility company in July of that [more]

No, I don't think it is ethical, because it constitutes fraud. We have to list the breed of pets not only on the license application for the city we live in, BUT ALSO in our homeowner's insurance.
