An Interview with lepera347

Last updated: 3/19/2014
The Fool:
As you were growing up (or now, raising children), did your family have any distinctive rituals or practices others might do well to emulate?
When I got into college, my grandfather bought me a Movado watch. These watches are different in that there are no numbers on them, simply a minute hand and an hour hand. My grandfather said I could use it to tell the approximate time, but not the exact time. He said it didn't matter since we should never obsess over the little things in life.

Things don't always go to plan, and we all make mistakes. But in the big picture, we are all extremely blessed, and ultimately everything will work itself out. I never obsess over the little things, and tell others not to either.
The Fool:
Your most heroic moment in life?
As president of my high school class, I started a scholarship for future classes. My high school was very generous to me, and I always hoped to give back, and luckily through this scholarship my class and I are able to.
The Fool:
What industry do you follow most closely and why?
Financials. These stocks were at the heart of the financial crisis, and I believe them to be at the heart of the recovery. Moreover, they are always at the center of the macroeconomic news, which I find fascinating and follow closely.

My Story

I'm someone who believes close relationships with friends and family are the most important things in life. Secondly, I believe if one has a career they love, they will never work a day in their life. I hope I can find that here at the Fool, since I learned how to invest here, and I want to teach others to here as well.

How I Invest

I hold long term positions in companies that have a product that I love, such as Disney or Tesla. I also buy companies that typically fall as a result of bad news, making them on sale. Past examples include JP Morgan, Boeing and more recently Target.
