Re: hey, carnivores

Beef chub is ground beef packaged in plastic tubing.
I have seen it many times in the supermarket.

Thanks!

hey, carnivores

What is "beef chub"? I see Aldi has it on sale this week but I've literally never heard of it and Google isn't helpful.

Is it like ground beef?

rusted firewood rack

I have two firewood racks that hold 1/4 cord of wood each - they're made of black painted aluminum (maybe steel?).

I noticed yesterday that they are rusting badly.

I'm assuming I can take some steel wool and scrub the rust off and [more]

Re: shotgun stance/cross post

For skeet shooting you want a long barrel with a full choke to keep the pattern close enough to hit the target. Otherwise it's like taking a handful of BBs and throwing them at the target.

The 26" barrel might be a fair

Re: shotgun stance/cross post

May I recommend the 20 gauge for you? It's plenty powerful enough to kill anything that needs killing but it's a little less kick. The 26" barrel is easier to swing around than the longer 28" barrel.

I absolutely want the 20 [more]

For home defense... there are few more-authoritative but not-directly-hazardous sounds than a pump-action shotgun racking a shell. There have been reports of crooks hearing that sound and fleeing - a successful defense!
