Re: Lima climate conference

As little as people like "bearing economic costs", they are even more unwilling to pass them on to their kids.

This is why the US and most governments don't have debt, no one wants to pass that debt on to their kids.

Re: X-Post: Avian death lawsuit

The important point is that windpower is a negligible cause of bird death, compared to buildings, towers, wires, cats, and natural causes of death. It shouldn't be part of the debate about windpower, except for exceptional sites where migrating [more]

What should they have done?

I think they had two reasonable choices compatible with good science, neither of which they took.

Re: Pros and cons of wood pellets

My bad, I didn't read the second sentence. Good luck, we have a wood pellet grill at work because the safety guy banned charcoal and gas and now no one grills because it takes much longer to heat up and cook something.

Re: 2014 is hottest year on record? (Doesn't mat

What I don't understand is how one set of records show that it is the hottest year on record and others show no heat at all

OK, so 10 months does not a year make. And perhaps you skeptics will not need to explain why it doesn't matter that 2014 was the hottest year on record (despite no official El Niño). But, just in case, you might as well start tuning up your [more]
