I'd argue that it basically is already automated.  The moving parts that are used now are mostly human, but that's because those are cheaper to run on a per-hour basis than a good FANUC or Cincinnati Milacron would be.

As far as dividends, though, I think they behave more or less properly - on the ex-div day, your cost basis per share is adjusted downward by just the right amount, which is the same thing that happens in my real investment account

Agree that I would like to see points and accuracy points somehow 'decay' with age, so that people who had a good run in 2006 but have been useless since then aren't as high in the rankings as today's sharpest, edgiest players.
