Perhaps aquaponics and artificial light...assuming there is enough of either.

So they are hiding from the unprepared survivors? Is there a vent of some kind outsiders can stick a garden hose in to "flush 'em out"?

Re: Forget Dreamfields

We buy wraps (although not the brand Costco sells -- taste preference), but use them for tacos and burritos. We used to make pizza on wraps, but really..it is the topping that is the flavorful part. So we ditched the wrap altogether.

I wonder how it would bake in a lasagna.

I am content with shirataki noodles, but am intrigued. And I just so happen to be picking up a 5 pound bag of mozzarella from Costco tomorrow. How convenient.

Re: non-carby ice cream equivalent?

Also, CarbSmart has ice cream bars (vanilla ice cream, dipped in chocolate, sprinkled with almond bits) that are 6 net carbs each.

Re: Product Review: Black Bean Pasta

I live on a mountain 40+ miles from the nearest city. The Costcos on both side of the mountain do not carry things like almond flour, coconut flour, or this type of pasta. However, when we were down in Carlsbad (CA)on a short trip, I noticed their [more]

Yes, I am pretty skeptical because of Dreamsfield's false claims.

I looked for this product at Costco Tuesday, but ours does not carry it.

Re: non-carby ice cream equivalent?

I love Bryers CarbSmart ice cream! Sadly, our stores only sell vanilla. Can't find the chocolate anywhere since a few years ago. Chocolate was my favorite.

Re: Product Review: Black Bean Pasta

Believe me, I really want this black bean pasta idea to work out. I like shirataki noodles (which are very low in carbs), but would love another healthy option.

Re: Product Review: Black Bean Pasta

That does seem very low in carbs for something that contains 92% black beans.

A can of black beans from my cupboard has 20 g carbs and 8 g fiber for 1/2 cup serving - with only 2 g of sugar and 7 g of protein.

The kids rejected them. I think the peppermint flavor is too strong. Also, the Splenda taste annoys us. I have tried Truvia before and was not impressed. Texture is okay, but could be better - a bit powdery.

Another tip is to put the batter into a ziploc baggie, remove the excess air, then cut a hole in a corner and pipe out the meringue onto the cookie sheet that way.

I will try that technique when making the cups. Right now I just want to find [more]
