Re: North Dakota jobs

Jeez, the theme at CNBC is that fossil fuel energy is leading us to the promised land.

But I praise your energy and courage for standing up for what is right and sane. I did it for years. Now I give money to National Wildlife and the Nature [more]

Oklahoma reporting

The national news went on and on with endless drivel. I watched only because I wanted to hear that those kids in the school had been found alive.

Dwondoff replied the market doesn't need reality.

Re: North Dakota jobs

The greed heads always seem to win.

Re: Way OT: Binoculars

Sorry I just stumbled on to this. The Cornell University Ornithology department has a website with fairly detailed reviews. I finally opted for the Nikon Monarch 3 which was their top binocular in the $250 range which was on sale at Cabela's for [more]

Anyone see why?

I think I've heard most of the theories on the current bull, from the mother of all short squeezes, and quantative easing to margin buying gone wild.

What I haven't seen is any economic fundamentals that justify the exuberance. [more]

Congrats you old devil. Glad to hear your better half is doing well.

Put the kid online. Then again he might read RECF and never be able to think logically again.

Re: Bloodshed in Iraq

We could have stayed there forever at the cost of more trillions. Menatime there is no money in the USA for infrastructure, schools, feeding the poor, and research.

Glad to see we didn't waste our money.

In an era when the markets can drop 100's of points in a nano second

How do you monitor closely. The drop could blow through your stops so fast you wouldn't have time to gag.

As for market valuation, everyone thinks they know.

Let's compare population densities. In the US there is an average of 89 people per square mile. Any guesses for Brazil? 60 people per square mile!
