Paper has been recyclable for at least 30 years - probably more.
What I recall from ~30 years ago was they would take any paper that was not waxed, and not metal [more]

I'm told that the general waste recycling bin gets sorted out and miscellaneous paper and such is loaded in cargo containers and shipped to Korea --- where the Koreans dump it.
