Re: Aren't 1099 supposed to be done by now?

Not stressed - annoyed that I have to wait for them.

But the website tells me "No 1099 available for this tax [more]

Solar tax credit - section 48

Some members of my church had a meeting with a solar sales guy about installing solar on the roof of the church's building. Obviously I don't trust tax advice from a sales guy.
He suggested that it may be possible for an individual (or group) to [more]

Re: Non employer HSA plan

My question is, if I were to pick a different custodian for the HSA, how can I 'capture' the tax benefits? In addition, I am not sure if the HSA contributions lower the wages taxed for medicare/SS - if it does, then can these be captured as well? [more]

Re: HSA usage (spouse NOT on high deductible pla

Based on what you copied from Pub 969, it seems that you can pay for a spouse's qualified medical expenses regardless of what health plan they may have. Copays certainly meet the definition of a qualified medical expense.

Re: Main Water Supply

Typically you use a special tool to do that (since it's down so low) which you can buy at Home Depot or Lowe's for about $10. It's basically just a metal rod with a pinch valve welded on the end and a handle so you can turn it. Buy one and stick [more]
