You'll be sedated. I didn't end up going through an endoscope test...

Not to beat a dead horse, but one has the option to go sedation-free for the endoscopy. Local numbing anesthetic is still used.

I and many are probably not understanding the difference between conscious sedation and anesthesia. I was given "conscious sedation", and I don't remember much of the next two hours.
