Re: Galaxy S5 (new) for 259

This is the phone I just switched to with my free upgrade with AT&T. It wasn't offered last year, so I had hung onto my Nokia Lumia 900 Windows phone for 3 years instead of 2, as I didn't like any of the free upgrade offers last year. Love the [more]

Re: Gluten (again)

I can echo *exactly* the same descriptions you gave, Sheila, with me needing more than 2 weeks to wash out after a gluten exposure:)

And for me, add the same issues with dairy or any trace of casein on top of that. I'm even off a [more]

Re: Gluten (again)

The study, as designed, presents no meaningful information. The gluten-free period was only 7 days. That is just not enough time for pro-inflammatory markers to reduce or for the gastrointestinal system to heal from having been exposed to gluten. A [more]

Hmmm. Never occurred to me to eat them cold.

On a related note, I've found ratatouille is another dish that you wouldn't think of immediately, but is also good cold. Had some for lunch, with some chunks of avocado on top.

Re: Oprah

Lots of folks (including me!) can lose weight on all kinds of diets/plans/programs, etc. It's not the losing weight that's so much the problem as is keeping the weight off.

What is required is an eating (and exercise) plan that one can

Re: Any GOOD Frozen Pizzas?

How in the world do you make a crustless pizza?
Do you just pour the sauce and cheese into a pan and eat it with a spoon?

Speaking of pancakes...

The family was craving something pancake-like and I had some soft bananas. I came up with this recipe, which was a big hit in satisfying their sweet tooth, with no sugar and no flour.

Re: Egg white pancakes

So we made sugar free apple sauce using Stevia to sweeten, and added ginger and chili to one batch. I had to taste it while fretting about carbs as I did. I know apple is high in sugar even without adding sugar, but I thought that it might be less [more]

Once I started making pizza dough at home, we stopped buying any frozen ones. Homemade is so much better and you have quality control of the ingredients. Less expensive too.
