Why should he be more right now than then?

It's not clear to me how the "why" can be answered, but based on the evidence -- the actual stock price right now -- I think he was very, very wrong less than a year [more]

I was importing some new video into my iMovie library, and I suddenly realized that a whole lot of my clip dates got hosed.

This is in iMovie 10.1.1, the current version, but I had imported most of my iMovie events in the previous version [more]

Re: Apple Calendar question

You can Export to .ics format files. If the website you want to use can accept .ics files, then you can import the file.

Re: Sometimes, high-end hardware DOES matter

I've said this before, or something similar, long long ago:

I really don't think Apple wants to compete for the kind of game players who really really want the highest-end hardware and who call their computers "rigs" or [more]

Re: Gov't wants Apple to put backdoor in iOS

This presents an interesting juxtaposition of events:

Why not just restore the keychain from a recent backup?

1) Tried it. Most recent backup has the same keychain corruption. The oldest easily accessible backup (CCC Safety Net from two or three weeks ago) also exhibits the [more]

I was trying to add a secure note to my login keychain this morning when I got an error and a message "The specified keychain is not a valid keychain file."

More self-flagellation: The balloons may have been 36 mcf, not 40 mcf, though CSBF provides them. Now I know why I typed 3.6 mcf -- I have been looking at solar proton anisotropies from 1.8 to 3.6 MeV... so 3.6 was on my mind at the time.

I spaced on the balloon volume. It's not 3.6 mcf, it's 40 mcf (million cubic feet). Doh.
