The decrease in household wealth has nothing to do with socialism in the U.S. It does have something to do with dishonest mortgage packages being sold at inflated prices and then leveraged with credit default swaps and other specious instruments. [more]

We were appalled when we visited cities in Arizona at how people try to live in the desert. Growing a lawn there is just crazy, but it seems to be all the rage.
