Usually, but not always, there are some investors that wait to receive the split shares before trimming positions slightly. Those shares are usually well absorbed by the new buyers attracted to the now lower dollar priced shares.

The Recession is over and people are just trying to catch-up on all of the goods purchases they deferred while they were living way below their means. For ourselves, my wife & I in 2015 spend based on what we earned in 1979.

Log-In default to keep logged-in...

The default on logging-into TMF's web-site is unfortunately to stay logged in until logged-off. The default and good, competent web-design would call-for leaving the site = automatic log-off.
