Re: Apple Pay: iTunes for Banking

But first, Apple is going to have to work with the big banks. For much the same reason (look out! analogy coming!) that they had to work with the record labels. It's not because they're not extra bloat, or just the nicest people you ever could [more]

Just a some links on tokenisation

Re: Apple Pay: iTunes for Banking

If anything is going to make mobile payments with NFC ubiquitous globally it is what Apple has done with Apple Pay.

Not one article even comes close to determining why this is so, nor have any posts on this board. Forget about articles [more]

Re: Convenience of Apple Pay

Lots of comments on this thread that are well to be expected.

Something to ponder is to forget about transactions from the POS being directed through iTunes store, not going to happen and is not necessary.

How would that work?

Re: A dozen reasons the Apple Watch will fail

In the most recent 4 quarters, Apple reported selling 33.8 + 51.03 + 43.72 + 35.2 = 163.75 million iPhones.

If 10% of them bought Apple Watches, that would be approx. 16.4 million units sold.

Re: A dozen reasons the Apple Watch will fail

I don't understand how you would pay with your watch.

It seems impractical, how would you manage to move your wrist to the place where the payment terminal is. Would you bend, twist, reach in.

Yes well I tend yo agree with what has been posted about the watch, the problem I have with this device is what am I supposed to do with it?

What I wanted to see was a refreshed Mac Mini!

Re: Arctic sea ice -- DrBob mistake?

How many warmists on this board believed in 1997 that we would go through 17+ years without any significant surface warming?

I am not asking if you can explain it away because of the ocean floor, or el Nino, etc.
