An Interview with TMFfinosus

Last updated: 1/5/2013
The Fool:
Are we alone in the universe? If not, where is everybody?
TMFfinosus:
We are not alone in the universe. A very bright physicist assured me recently that the cosmos is quite young, and earth's eons are the dog years of the universe, just on a very grand scale. We are the traveler who has arrived home on a dark and stormy night. We've entered our pitch-black house, and our finger is on the light switch in the kitchen (as we are hungry and require a midnight snack). In another billion years we will have flipped the switch: at that moment everyone else in the room will leap up, decked in streamers and purple plastic hats, and raise their craft beers, Yuenglings, and Buds, to shout in unison: "Surprise!"
The Fool:
What's your favorite movie, and why?
TMFfinosus:
8 1/2, by Frederico Fellini. It's a marvel of a film: wistful, bizarre, philosophical, poetic, and a riot in parts. It's also a litmus test; one of those love or hate movies. Go out and rent/download this film, and email me what your thumbs up/down: asharma@fool.com.
The Fool:
What's the best advice you've ever received?
TMFfinosus:
I "received" this advice from Wm Blake himself: "Dip him in the river who loves water."
