Alyce Lomax

For about a decade, Alyce Lomax has written about and analyzed stocks for The Motley Fool. She often writes about retail and consumer goods stocks, but her investing passion is in incorporating socially responsible investing factors into her analysis. She manages the real-money Prosocial Portfolio and writes a twice-weekly column specifically focused on environmental, social, and corporate governance issues for Her goal is to find stock ideas for investors who want to invest in positive businesses that will create positive portfolio returns as well. Long ago, she studied English literature at St. Mary’s College of Maryland, and believes that literary-style deep analysis is just as important as financials when assessing companies’ “stories” and standing in the world. Alyce also occasionally writes short fiction in her spare time, and even more occasionally it’s published.
