From October 2010 through June 2015, she managed the real-money Prosocial Portfolio and writes a regular column focused on environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) issues for Fool.com. Her goal is to find stock ideas for investors who want to invest in positive businesses that will create positive portfolio returns as well. Long ago, she studied English literature at St. Mary’s College of Maryland, and believes that literary-style deep analysis is just as important as financials when assessing companies’ “stories” and standing in the world. Alyce also occasionally writes short fiction in her spare time, and even more occasionally it’s published.
