Steve Sechrist serves as Sr. Analyst at Insight Media, and is a technology veteran with strong display and computer to human interface experience that spans almost 20 years. His current writings for display and sensor technology include the Society for Information Display (SID) Information Display Magazine where he is a Contributing Editor, and Sr. Analyst for Display-Central.com that includes a bi-monthly articles, targeting display and related sensor technology in fixed and mobile devices. These include the mainstream LCD and OLED plus exotic displays. Other areas covered are Auto sector and LED lighting issues; Steve also writes for AllLEDLighting.com web site (a Philips Lumileds sponsored site.) His writing focuses on display technology enablers and integration with the CE and Automotive markets. This includes LCD’s (et al.) LED lighting plus other advanced sensors in the space. Steve is a member of the Pacific NW Auto Press Association, and serves on the Executive board of directors, a post requiring regular communication with US, European and Asian car makers and reps based here in the US.
Steve began his technology career at Wacom Technology with a focus on pen sensor component integration.
His work at InFocus included technology marketing support, extensive competitive analysis, business intelligence, and wireless component product development. Steve is one of a handful of technologists whose been there since the early days of computing with an emphasis on interactive technology development adding a unique historic perspective to his writings. Steve holds a BA in Economics from UCLA, a Masters in Inter-religious Studies and has completed MBA related post graduate course work at WSU-Vancouver and PSU Portland, OR.
