Re: Oil change

My wife and I just bought a new (to us!) 2003 Hyundai Sonata with a 2.7L engine. Reading the owner's manual, it appears that the oil only needs to be changed every 7,500 mikes or 6 months. That seems like a lot to me- what do you guys [more]

Re: leaving car unused for 8 months

I store my car for 6 to 7 months a year in the winter time.

I'm going to guess you're storing in a garage or storage area and not inside. Here is what I recommend

1) Wash and wax the car well. Real wax you put on by hand, not a [more]

I grabbed 5W20 instead of 5W30 and put it in my engine. 5 qts of 5W20, and 1 qt of 5W30. It's Castrol GTX. The engine is a GM 4.8l V8, 2007.
