They just reported that they have $50 in cash, no other assets, and $1.5 million in debt.

SSDs still cost around 15x HDDs per GB. Looks like your graphs were dead wrong. Also, hybrid HDD/SSD drives could extend the life of HDD technology for decades more.

Bonds were a pretty good investment in 2002. Compared to tech stocks in 1999 and real estate in 2006 they were fantastic.
