Although I'm a long-time Apple bull I think in addition to the financial engineering the company needs to come up w/ a new product category. A bigger iPhone screen and China Mobile will not be the whole answer.

GM and Boeing have been plagued by failures of small parts that cost a lot in the end. Being more proactive could have prevented deaths and financial loss. The companies should look toward Johnson & Johnson as a model for crisis management.
