Since I had supplied the Rec, I might as well tell you why:

Robert Hastings sounded quite competent in what he stated, sounded like he had a very tight methodology (sticking to direct witnesses where it can be verified those witnesses would [more]

Re: HIGH TECH TO THE NTH DEGREE

Sorry, it's a hoax.

Re: Star Trek - That's what a transporter is for.

One wonders why the [more]

Re: These titles are retiring from Netflix strea

Usually if one goes to one's "My List" instant queue page, the titles expiring in the next 7 days will show the expiration date in the "Notes" column. Unfortunately, that often isn't enough time for a series. Once in a great while [more]

Re: Speaking of DOCSIS 3

*If you pay for anything slower than 38Mbps, then DOCSIS 3 won't make a difference*

Since and average cable node is 50-500 customers, even with a 1-2 Mbit plan you might get better performance with D3 - D3 will hop channels as [more]

Re: Galavant 010514

I really liked it! Some of the lyrics were a bit too explicit for my tastes, but overall I thought it was hilarious and had enough twists that I expect to watch the whole "season"!

Re: wifi password security

Make sure the admin password of your router is NOT the same as the WiFi password. (Some people like to assign the same password to multiple things, and this is one of the examples where it is a bad idea.)

Re: Speaking of DOCSIS 3

When Comcast shipped me a gateway (combination DOCSIS 3 modem / 4-Ethernet-port WiFi router) to replace the DOCSIS 2 modem I was renting from them, two things stood out for me:

1. The speedtest now gave consistently good results with the new [more]
