I’m not sure the Chinese government is too worried about creating ill-will with their citizens. Not a lot of avenues for citizens to complain from what I understand.

If he sells it for 7.9 million that’s around a 9% annualized return for almost 50 years, less annual expenses like RE taxes, insurance, upkeep. Still, not too shabby of a return for a house, right?
