Re: Converted Son To Apple Products

Robert I am getting to the party late -

Either the Air or Pro will be fine now. What you do need to do if you get an Air is make sure to get RAM up to 8GB. It is not possible to add RAM later. Also I would say get 526GB for the [more]

Re: Wood floor on in floor radiant

Since the OP stated his radiant tubing was in "lightweight concrete" I suspect the heat transfer range is not the concrete dense range of 1.0 to 1.8, but rather a number closer to wood.

Radiant heat is often in wood flooring [more]

I have a Retina iPad and need to enter in my strong Master Password to use the 1PassWord software. I am considering purchase of the new Air2 iPad with TouchID.

Basically I want to know if the TouchID system works on the iPad Air2 for logging [more]

LC thank you.

I am embarrassed that I did not track this down - I tried the help menu, but should have gone to the home website.

Re: Wood floor on in floor radiant

While wood certainly is an insulator, as Goofy pointed out, so is concrete. any losses to the ground are likely to be unchanged by tile, wood or even rolled goods.

I suspect the engineered woods would be OK, but there are many different [more]

Re: Differences from Quicken H&B 2012

I am a Quicken Premier user. Upgraded from 2012 to 2015. I had no issues with the program. (The physical disk I got was defective and Quicken support gave me a free download.)

Data files opened seamlessly. There are a few differences - but [more]

Re: Strange Message

Pete meybe I was unclear - I was saying the message was caused by some program. If you turn off everything except Apple Mail and you get the message, it likely is caused by Apple Mail. Just a way to isolate the source.

Re: Strange Message

I have no idea if the message is legit or not. But you should be able to narrow down the possibilities by quoting programs. I think it unlikely a program that is not running would be calling for a "Helper".

Do you have Windows [more]

Mick I believe it is possible to use your PC -- and this would be much faster than dealing with iCloud. (Do do it via iCloud, first the old iPad would have to be backed up and then the new one populated.) Backup the old iPad to your PC. Next plug to [more]

Vinegar or more accurately the acid in vinegar is something that could soften/dissolve the lime very slowly - however since I have put penetrating oil (which is an oil) any chemical action from the acid in vinegar will be seriously handicapped. Oil [more]

Re: Replacing Moen 1222 shower cartridge...

I don't think there is even a small chance for penetrating oil. That works on rust - and when you have metal on metal such as a nut and bolt. As you could see in the videos the only thing really touching the metal when the item is assembled is rubber [more]

Re: iMessage viewing/preview

This is a notification. I am not aware of anyway to increase the time a Banner notification lasts. But you can change the iMessage from a Banner to an Alert. Alerts require an action where as Banners go away automatically - the words from Apple.
