Re: HVAC install question

I expect you have already decided to or not to create a problem. The HVAC contractor would looked at your existing system and decided if ducting changes were needed when creating a quote. The contractor is either competent (knows the problem when [more]

Re: Mail Keeps Asking for Password

One thing that could cause this is a messed up cache. Booting in the Safe Mode will flush a lot of issues. Safe Mode boots take a lot longer than normal ones because the system checks a whole lot of stuff in greater detail than with normal boots. [more]

Re: AC Brand Recommendations?

My view is the specific brand within reason is a whole lot less important than other variables.

Most important single variable is the local installer you choose. That is where price and quality can be changed the most. My experience and [more]

How about this:

Re: Hiding Updates

Sorry I missed the device - but I would take the same approach - keep your data, but delete the application and download again.

I suspect there is a cache someplace keeping track of what you have downloaded that is messed up. Just [more]

Re: Hiding Updates

How can I hide it and remove the update count for the app store?

I don't have a clue, but if I had that issue, I would first try deleting the App from my iPhone, reboot the iPhone, go to the App Store on my iPhone, not in [more]

Is the word "water" correct? Our water does not come with gaskets.

Re: Apple Mail

It happens with the "Sending" column as well. Yes very annoying. Apple does follow customer feedback and more than once has responded to customer frustration. The most obvious example was when they did away with the "Save As" menu [more]

Re: defrost timer

PoorGuy - I am confused.

I can see these possibilities:

#1 You have a timer problem
#2 You want us to guess at a time cost, so you can decide whether to purchase an extended warranty
#3 A totally different situation, which [more]

Re: Scraping old glue off concrete

I expect any chemical cleaning method will not work - acid cleaners actually work by chemically destroying the concrete - only a thin layer on top, but still.

You might contact people who installed epoxy coatings on garage floors. A lot of [more]

Re: PhoneClean?

This strikes me as one of those things to avoid - it might be OK, but after using it one might again learn the value of "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

The real problem is person A thinks of something as a "fix" and [more]

I have never cleaned HVAC ducts. I do change air filters regularly.
