Re: Medigap Insurance Worth It?

Interest wrote I agree that Medigap coverage is a bad deal if you can afford to pay the 20% co-pay out of pocket.

Whether the deal is good or bad, depends a lot on how you look at it.

Vermonter I understand your issue. This is something only you can answer. The service United is providing is insurance. It has a cost and it provides coverages. Based on my memory of your posts, I doubt you personally have assets to cover a serious [more]

Re: Ring/notification volume control?

On approach that could be made is create a custom ring tone. Then you can raise or lower the volume as you wish. I personally use a slightly different approach. I use Trumpet music (like the William Tell Overture for example). That particularly sound [more]

Re: Shower leak

If you decide to cut, cut where the water damage is. Water can and often does "run" a lot of distance by following beams. Until you open it up, you won't know if the real leak is above the wet place or some feet in some direction.

Re: Shower leak

My mother inlaw had a very similar situation - bathroom shower above a finished basement. I advised cutting a hole in the sheetrock to look where the water was coming from. She said no. She got a plumber in who said the problem was a leaky shower pan [more]

Re: I Think I Need A New Laptop

Right now, in my estimation, is one of those in between periods that I try hard not to purchase a PC during. Apple's newest notebook is the 12 inch MacBook. It has exactly one port (a USB-c port). That port is about the size of the single port on the [more]

Re: CD Audiobooks to iPod

What format (file extension) is the audio book in? Either Handbrake can work with that format or not. Google has lots of references to audio books and handbrake. If you convert the book file to say MP3, any PC with an optical drive should be able to [more]

That certainly does not happen on our iPads - which are newer than yours. If you want to blame somebody, try the people writing the software. I can't image a software programer who would not want to utilize new, improved hardware. Your iPad II is 32 [more]

Re: Default Word Font

Hookemfins I don't believe this won't work with 2016. I did find how to do it however from MSFT.

Open a blank document; change the font as desired (you could also make any other style changes you desire); perform a Save As - now here it the [more]
