Personally, I think stock buy backs are a total scam. They raise the price of each share of stock (in today's market) temporarily but not its book value. [more]

Re: commodity cycles

This report adds to my bullishness on zinc. I think I'll buy a few more TREVF, which mines zinc/lead/copper/silver. Three out of four well placed in the chart. GORO mines silver/gold/zinc/lead, and had excellent drill results out this morning which [more]

Re: Gear Up for a Violent Uranium Price Spike...

I like uranium too (CCJ, FCUUF), as well as zinc (TREVF) and very-low-cost flake graphite in the form of SYAAF.

The graphene/flake graphite field is exploding with venture capital pouring in. As far as I can tell so far, graphene sheets [more]

Re: Klondex buys Rice Lake.

One thing I did not notice is how cheap Klondex is at a GAAP TTM p/e of 11. With Fire Creek still operating at permit-related reduced output, that is very cheap indeed.

Perhaps they plan to high-grade the Canadian property until gold [more]

Re: Klondex buys Rice Lake.

Looking at the Rice Lake resources, they are not that high grades at all. Nothing like the Nevada properties. So this acquisition is something that will only be justified if Klondex can reduce costs quite radically, and could be no good if gold drops [more]

Re: Fission Shares Take Off On China Deal

It's a nice pop. Now we need to know what is going to happen next. I'm still holding in the hope that the Chinese will follow their investment with some action. Hopefully they will develop a mine. Don't see why not.

Woo-Hoo! Still yielding 13.5%. KMI up 3%. Midstream is getting some attention.

Re: Klondex buys Rice Lake.

What do I like about Klondex?

Opportunism. IMO the Midas mine was bought very cheaply, all permitted and ready to go, with a lot of the management and employees already having worked at the mine. Also, the purchase of the Fire Creek [more]

Re: FKA: KMI

I would not be at all surprised if the pipeline/midstream group is being hurt badly by tax loss selling this month. It has been a spectacular loser this year along with much of the commodity complex.

Another factor to consider is that [more]
