An Interview with ChaseKimball

The Fool:
What's the best restaurant you've ever been to? (Include name, location, and average bill for two.)
ChaseKimball:
The best, most over-the-top, grandest, dining experience I've ever had was at Le Cinq in Paris. The first time I went to Paris was as a backpacker, so I ate at McDonald's, once. Not my proudest moment and something I vowed to make up for when I returned.
I came back and had the goal in mind to go to a three star Michelin restaurant. I decided on the traditionally French Le Cinq and went with a few friends. Everything was impeccable. We were served 4 different courses of WATER, each with its own description. They did that thing where they present the dishes in silver platters and then de-lid all at the same time. And there were no fewer than three suited men monitoring the chef filleting and plating a fish at our table. At the end they rolled a golden trolley full of candy and chocolate and we were told, "choose whatever you want," seriously. It was gloriously luxurious and something I will never forget. The bill came to about 80 Euros and this was in 2007. Given the amazing food and service, I considered this to be money well spent.
