How I Invest

I'm a bit of a fool (little "f") at times, but getting and learning to be more Foolish (big "F") all the time. My basic strategy these days is to invest in solid, well managed, companies at the core, with good value fundamentals. But I can't get away from dabbling in a few speculative plays now and then. I believe strongly in disciplined risk management, so I have been learning to hedge, especially this past year with the market on fire. Of course, hedging is best using Options, and I do use Options extensively, both for income and hedging strategies. I have continued learning more and more about options strategies every day it seems. Following the wisdom and advise of the great value investors; i.e. Buffett, Graham, Lynch and O'Shaughnessy has been very helpful.
